Who We Are.

 

The Yarmouth County Learning Network  is a team of teachers, adult learners, tutors and volunteers all working together to improve Adult Literacy in  Yarmouth County.  Our unique programs teach reading, writing and math skills to adults and families so that they can achieve financial independence, good health, and greater involvement in community life.  All programs are free of charge.

Our Mission is simple.  The Yarmouth Learning Network improves lives

through literacy.  We believe in quality, persistence, flexibility and

teamwork.  By working together, valuing each contribution and

communicating respectfully and clearly, staff, adult learners, and tutors

achieve more.

The Yarmouth Learning Network has over 10 years of experience working with adults who want to improve.  Whether you are looking to better your reading and writing skills or complete Level I and II upgrading,  our qualified instructors and tutors are trained to build a personal program that works for you. 

 

In today’s demanding world, learners require flexible learning options to achieve their goals and that’s why we provide you with many opportunities to study from home, work, the local library or at our learning facility and newly renovated computer labs.  All of our resources are FREE and available in day and evening programs.

 

Two Locations to Serve You Better.

 

Start learning today.  You can enrol in a program at anytime during the year.  Spaces are available.  Classes are held at 372 Pleasant Street (NSCC Burridge Campus) and at the P.A.
